The Servant King

March 27: Read or watch the story The Servant King!| Jesus Storybook Bible | page 286
We often call this story the Last Supper, because it was the last time Jesus ate with his disciples before he died.  We remember all that Jesus did that night in a celebration called the Lord's Table, Communion, the Eucharist -- when we share the cup & the bread, and we remember.

Talk about these questions:
  • What was the feast celebration happening in the story? What did they remember during this feast?
  • What was the lowest, dirtiest, ickiest job that only the lowest servant would do?
  • What did Jesus do? Why did he do it?
  • What do we learn about Jesus from this story?

Thank you God, that Jesus is the Servant King; that Jesus came to finish your great Rescue Plan, and save everyone from their sins. Thank you that Jesus showed his love by doing the dirtiest job, and then giving everything he had to save me. Help me to love you more and more each day. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
